Fishing the Middle Deschutes - in search of Skwalas
I went out to the middle deschutes over the weekend and had great fishing starting around 11. There were prolific March brown and BWO hatches starting around 1 and slowing down around 3, with skwala stoneflies appearing sporadically. Soon rainbows and suckers will begin spawning and egg patterns should be a good bet as well. Remember that state parks are closed, and always be sure that you aren’t trespassing if you find a way down to the river. Give us a call and we'll help you with where to go to practice Social Distancing! Josh
Learning the sport of fly fishing is no small feat….like many other sports, it is very complicated and involves a lifetime of practice, intution, instruction, and trial and error.
